With the Galaxy S20 starting at an overpriced $ 999, the Galaxy S20 FE was more than just a welcome move. The “inexpensive flagship” offered more value for $ 699, which made it almost irrational to spend more to get the Note20 or S20. We expect the same from the Galaxy S21 FE and now a new leak gives us a first look at the device.
Renders @OnLeaks show a phone that looks a lot like the S21, including an attractive corner camera module. However, the module is not part of the metal frame, but instead protrudes from the “glossy” back panel – not as important. According to the leak, the phone will be slightly larger compared to the S21 and will have a 6.4-inch display, which is slightly smaller than the S20 FE.
The S21 FE (for the recording FE stands for “Fan Edition”) will also come with a triple camera system, but with lower grade lenses to keep the price down. The leak does not reveal anything, but claims that Samsung plans to “repeat the formula for success” of the S20 FE, that is, to offer the best features of the S21 at a more affordable price.
It is not yet known when the phone will be announced, but we can expect it to arrive earlier than the S20 FE last year – maybe in July or August? With the Galaxy S21 already starting at $ 800, it will be interesting to see what Samsung is sacrificing for the S21 FE.
