Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Fold Starts Receiving Android 11 In US

Just last week, Samsung started rolling out Android 11 in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. However, early adopters of the first foldable phone from the South Korean giant will be pleasantly surprised as they also get One UI 3.0, and it arrives earlier than expected.

The firmware is available for both LTE and 5G phone variants like F900FXXU4DUA1 and F907BXXU4DUA1 respectively. An update for the former is said to be available in France and the UAE, while an update for the 5G model has been seen in the UK and Switzerland. SamMobile

To check if you received a new firmware, go to Settings> Software update> Download and install. If you are not in one of the aforementioned countries, you might have to wait as the update came out earlier than the expected date (February) indicated in the official One UI 3.0 rollout schedule.

Android 11 and Samsung One UI 3.0 have many changes, including new media playback controls, new conversation notifications, chat bubbles, and improved app permission management. The update also includes the January security patch.
